Catholic Social Teaching
Catholic Social Teaching is rooted in scripture, challenging us to live responsibly and build a just society, putting our faith into action.
The Catholic Social Teaching at Holy Ghost is based on that of CAFOD, where Jesus tells us to love God and to love our neighbours, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty and treat all with dignity.CAFOD Catholic Social Teaching

Our School Catholic Social Teaching Initiatives
At Holy Ghost, our Catholic values are at the core in everything we do. Each term we are focusing on one of the core Catholic Social Teaching values, where one class leads a whole school initiative to support those in need.
This term our focus is on Human Dignity.
Refugee Action
Year 5 had a talk from Refugee Action where they learnt all about what it means to be a refugee and the struggles they face.
It supports how we can help those in our wider community and treat everyone equally.

Advent Food Drive
One of the ways that we have prepared during this special season is the Advent Food Drive. Thank you to all families who donated much needed items to the Wandsworth Food Bank. We managed to fill Mrs Murphy’s car with nine heavy crates full of resources to help those in need during this festive period. This food drive was part of our work teaching the pupils on Catholic Social Teachings. Our focus this term was on ‘Human Dignity.’
